About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health organization is seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Social Worker to join our team. As a Health Care Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement interventions that promote optimal health and well-being.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in social work. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. You will have a minimum of 2 years' post-Bachelor's degree experience in a related clinical setting, with a strong understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Motivational Interviewing and behavior change counseling.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $33.97 - $42.89 per hour, plus benefits and a defined benefit pension plan.
