Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Advanced Care Paramedic to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. As an ACP with Alberta Health Services, you will assess emergency scenes and patients, and may transport ill or injured patients from emergency scenes and between facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assessing emergency scenes and patients, and transporting ill or injured patients as needed
Treating patients by administering medications, advanced life support (ALS) airway adjuncts, and electrical therapy
Leading ALS crews in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes
Ensuring that ambulances and other EMS vehicles are properly stocked and equipped
Requirements
Non-restricted registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Valid class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent, and a five-year driver abstract with no more than six demerits
Proof of successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (FARE) test, provided by the Lifemark organization
