Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a 50-bed hospital offering comprehensive services, including inpatient care, emergency, respiratory, rehab, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology lab, medical imaging, and cancer care. As the northeastern BC orthopedic and trauma centre, we provide specialized care to our patients.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefit packages, including MSP, extended health/dental, and a municipal pension plan, are offered to part-time and full-time employees. Casuals have the option of paying for benefits.

Job Description

This role provides clinical assessment and interventions to clients experiencing problems related to both Mental Health and Addictions. You will work closely with the Dawson Creek Addictions Clinical Team Leader and the Dawson Creek Mental Health Team Leader to develop interface between Addiction Services, inpatient and out-patient psychiatric services. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of adult clients with Concurrent Mental Health and Addictions issues, providing support to families and communities as required.

  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Knowledge of Mental Health and Addictions Co-Morbidity and experience of working with clients with severe and enduring mental illness
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment methodology and community-based programming
