Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at the York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will provide a wide range of psychological services to students, including assessments, therapy, and consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans to support student learning and development.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students, as well as consultation and support to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, administrators, and community agencies, to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments and interventions.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of school psychology and apply this knowledge to inform practice.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology and Certificate of Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario/Manitoba.
  • Experience working with children and youth in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, codes, and regulations related to the delivery of psychological services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package based on qualifications and experience. Salary range is $82,000-$105,000 annually.
