Natrona County School District is seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team.

This position is responsible for enhancing the learning and mental health of all children through measuring and interpreting their intellectual, adaptive, academic, social, and emotional development.

  • Administers standardized assessments to measure student development and determines eligibility for services.
  • Communicates with students, parents, teachers, and other personnel to evaluate situations, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
  • Compiles information from various sources to produce comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Consults with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide responses to informational requests, collaborate on plans for services, and make recommendations to meet student goals.
  • Coordinates with community agencies to determine appropriate educational programming and identify services and tools needed to support student learning.
  • Counsels with students, parents, and guardians to enhance student success in school.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates school-wide program development and program evaluation to ensure effective programs for students experiencing physical, mental, social, or emotional difficulties.
  • Develops and reviews behavior plans, curriculum modifications, and treatment programs.
  • Facilitates meetings, processes, and ensures that state mandates are achieved.
  • Intervenes in occurrences of inappropriate student behavior to assist students in modifying behavior and developing successful interpersonal skills.
  • Monitors district compliance with state and federal regulations to ensure procedures and protocols are current.
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars to convey and gather information required to perform functions.
  • Prepares written materials to document activities, provide written references, and convey information.
  • Provides transition services to facilitate positive transitions from district programs.
  • Provides interventions and mental health services to develop social and life skills and ensure student success in school.
  • Provides interventions and instructional support to develop academic skills and enhance student success in school.
  • Researches resources and methods to determine the appropriate approach for addressing students' functional goals.
