Hardware Technical Lead

As a Hardware Technical Lead at Cisco Systems, Inc., you will play a key role in defining and developing high-end solutions for next-generation telecom network infrastructures deployed worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and improve hardware architect aptitudes through feasibility studies, system definition, requirements, and design specifications.
- Enhance project management skills by collaborating on project plans, performing risk assessments, and participating in status meetings to report progress, risks, issues, or blockers.
- Stay on the edge of component, design, and manufacturing process limitations to guide teams in making technological decisions that drive innovation.
- Promote knowledge of signals and power integrity by covering high-speed interfaces, high-power distribution systems, and high-density design structures.
- Lead, supervise, and optimize a multidisciplinary hardware development process (electrical, optical, mechanical, thermal, certification, manufacturing).
- Ensure the quality level of all physical work by coordinating, leading, and facilitating hardware design reviews with all teams of interest.
- Define test plans, perform board bring-up, system integration, and system validation against requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Master product certification requirements, keep up to date with the latest regulatory standards, and develop reflexes to design products ready for certification.
- Provide high-quality support to other departments in the organization (manufacturing, customers, etc.) by investigating sophisticated problems, providing root-cause analysis, and proposing fixing solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Confirmed experience with hardware system development (Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Certifications, Manufacturing).
- Master the use of test equipment for system bring-up and validation with excellent solving/debugging capabilities.
- Understanding the limitations of electrical, mechanical, and assembly fabrication processes.
- Basic understanding of design concepts to meet certification requirements (EMC, Safety, Telco).
- Experience in supervising and advising hardware design developed by internal and external teams.
