Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Rainbow Six team at Ubisoft Entertainment. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for defining the technical vision and roadmap for our engine-level code, including core tech, audio, and rendering.
You will work closely with the Rainbow Six Siege team to identify and prioritize technical improvements, build and maintain a roadmap, and guide your team to execute the vision for those improvements at high quality.
The ideal candidate will have around 7 years of programming experience in C++, a deep understanding of game engines, systems, programming languages, interdependencies, and critical issues.
You will be responsible for mentoring and motivating programmers to develop their technical skills, providing them with the necessary tools and pipelines to work efficiently and achieve quality.
The Technical Lead will also be responsible for writing elegant code customized to the hardware, providing technical oversight by reviewing code and making technical validations, and anticipating and assessing complex, escalated issues.
Additionally, you will need to communicate effectively with interdependent teams on other projects to exchange information and stay up to date on technological advancements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Define the technical vision and roadmap for engine-level code.
- Work with the Rainbow Six Siege team to identify and prioritize technical improvements.
- Mentor and motivate programmers to develop their technical skills.
- Write elegant code customized to the hardware.
- Provide technical oversight by reviewing code and making technical validations.
- Anticipate and assess complex, escalated issues.
- Communicate effectively with interdependent teams.
- Around 7 years of programming experience in C++.
- A deep understanding of game engines, systems, programming languages, interdependencies, and critical issues.
- Excellent mentorship, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A highly innovative and collaborative spirit.
- Effective cross-departmental communication.
- A desire to share knowledge to push the boundaries of technology and help others improve their skills.
