Job Summary

Austin Powder Ltd. is seeking a skilled Explosives Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and Maintain Vehicles: Operate and maintain straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload hazardous materials, adhering to strict guidelines and protocols.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Conduct regular pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle condition and safety.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain vehicles to prevent mechanical issues and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence: Possess a valid Class 3/3F/DF licence for trailer trucks and vehicles with more than 3 axles.
  • Communication Systems Experience: Familiarity with trip recorders and on-board computers.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local and regional transportation experience.
  • Security and Safety: Possess a basic security clearance, be bondable, and undergo regular drug tests and medical exams.
