Job Title: Explosives Truck Driver

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Explosives Truck Driver to join our team at Austin Powder Ltd.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport hazardous materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Requirements:

  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Basic security clearance
  • Bondable
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Medical exam
  • Valid driver's licence
