Job Title: Explosives Truck Driver

Austin Powder Ltd. is seeking a skilled Explosives Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting explosives safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks to transport explosives and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and tarping to ensure safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Basic security clearance
  • Drug test and medical exam
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
