About the Role:

Omega Formwork Inc. is seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of woodwork, from measuring and cutting to assembling and joining materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Work Environment:

As a Woodworking Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights and in confined spaces. You must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads
