Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our team at the Trotter & Morton Group of Companies. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to take on a key role in the Mechanical Division, working closely with our experienced project managers and personnel to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating all aspects of commercial mechanical projects, from pre-development to close-out phases.
  • Review, finalize, and distribute project budgets with assistance from the Project Manager.
  • Evaluate and obtain all required permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Initiate and update project schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate submittal review, processing, and approval logs, as well as set up and maintain submittal records.
  • Develop, submit, and obtain approval for billing schedules of values, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Process change conditions and change work orders, maintaining accurate records and updating project schedules accordingly.
  • Perform ongoing cost control and management, forecasting financial performance for assigned projects.
  • Closely coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to build long-term relationships and ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a mechanical scope.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
  • Strong familiarity with projects within the mechanical scope.
  • Completion of an Engineering Degree, CET, or Journeyperson ticket is preferred.

This position will primarily be based on site, with possible travel requirements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive team attitude.
