Design Release Engineer - Intermediate - PSP

Altair Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Design Release Engineer - Intermediate - PSP to join our team in Windsor, ON. This is a contract position.

The successful candidate will work closely with designers, CAE groups, suppliers, and manufacturing to design and release components in support of electrified powertrain integration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing components and systems to ensure robustness for function and manufacturing
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and maintain product design from concept to launch
  • Releasing 2D drawings and 3D models, performance specifications, and production product issue resolution
  • Conducting center of excellence reviews for design robustness and creating and maintaining DFMEA and DVP

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent from an ABET accredited university. Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as experience with basic PC software, are essential. Knowledge of hardware release process, DFMEA's, DVP's, and root cause analysis methodologies is also required.
