We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Merchandising Operations to join our team at Princess Auto. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering merchandising programs that drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement merchandising strategies that align with business objectives and improve customer coverage and new markets.
- Lead a team of merchandising professionals to ensure clear priorities and support at every step.
- Oversee pricing and margin management to position the overall assortment to meet sales and profitability targets.
- Execute all planning processes related to promotional and business planning.
- Accountable for all direct vendor relationships and performance.
- Follow all product safety and environmental policies and programs.
- Support the packaging process and ensure all requirements are gathered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all new and innovative programs for merchandising products and services are aligned with merchandising strategies.
- Provide direction related to all long-term strategic planning and maintain category portfolio.
- Maintain and establish sourcing models related to the strategy.
- Provide a complete program presentation while meeting all space guidelines and performance metrics.
- University degree in a related discipline plus 5-7 years merchandising management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High-level experience in leading category management philosophy and/or sourcing functions.
- Professional demeanor with ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- General working knowledge of computer operations.
