Seeking a Skilled Director of Strategic Funding Partnerships

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Strategic Funding Partnerships. This position plays a crucial part in our mission to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a revenue pipeline of grants and foundations funding. They will author grant and foundation proposals, reports, and presentations to engage prospective donors, foundations, and grant holders.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position that can be based out of any Make-A-Wish Canada office. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of national and local children's-based foundations in Canada, excellent writing and communications skills, and proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and CRM (Salesforce preferred).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a schedule/pipeline of grant opportunities with associated deadline dates, both nationally and regionally.
  • Author grant and foundation proposals, reports, information briefs, and presentations.
  • Act as primary or secondary contact and engage with prospective donors, foundations, and grant holders to better understand their mission and the application process.
  • Participate in both regional and national fund development meetings to develop a solid understanding of needs and priorities.
What We Offer
  • A competitive annual salary of $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including group health and dental premiums fully covered by the Foundation, RRSP, & Wish paid hours.
  • Annual vacation starting at three weeks, plus additional paid leaves.
  • A hybrid work environment with 2 days in-office and 3 days remote per week, occasional travel, and event attendance locally.
