Description:

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with the cleaning and disinfecting of clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments. Your duties may include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, restocking supplies in bathroom facilities, stripping linen, and remaking beds. You will also be responsible for replenishing cleaning supplies and linens and identifying and reporting potential hazards to your Working Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks in clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Restock supplies in bathroom facilities and replenish cleaning supplies and linens
  • Strip linen and remake beds
  • Identify and report potential hazards to your Working Leader

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Knowledge and operation of a computer, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift
  • Physically capable to lift, push, and pull up to 22 lbs of force

Additional Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of computer programs, such as email
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and follow written and oral directions in English
  • Dependability, thoroughness, and ability to work with minimal supervision
