About the Role

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking a highly skilled Total Rewards Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive total rewards programs that align with our business objectives and support the success of our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement total rewards strategies that drive business results and support employee engagement
  • Lead the development and administration of compensation, benefits, and pension plans to ensure they are competitive and aligned with business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and develop total rewards programs that meet business needs
  • Provide counsel to leaders and HR colleagues on total rewards solutions and issues
  • Ensure effective tools and processes are in place to manage total rewards, including vendor selection and management
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive employee recognition and wellness programs
  • Oversee the administration of all plans, propose changes, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with Talent Management and HR Business Partners to develop programs and initiatives to improve practices, processes, and programs
  • Ensure all plans and processes comply with applicable internal and external regulations and requirements

Requirements

  • University or postgraduate degree in business management, finance, accounting, human resources, or equivalent
  • CCP or CEBS designation preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years of benefits and compensation-related experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a people leader
  • Experience with managing compensation, benefits, and defined benefit plans in the public sector
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate technical analysis into presentations
  • Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership skills balanced with an informed management of all aspects of the Total Rewards function
  • Ability to think strategically and objectively
