Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

Brukar Pharmacy Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will be responsible for assisting pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with various tasks, including compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments
  • Bill third-party insurers
  • Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams
  • Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
  • Process claims such as health insurance or workers' compensation
  • Collect statistics
  • Perform general clerical duties
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Assist healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience an asset

Work Environment:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and have excellent hand-eye coordination.
