About the Role

The Manager of the Crown Land Information Management Centre is responsible for the effective management of all records and mapping pertaining to the extent of Crown lands in Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information maintained in the Crown lands registry.
  • Manage the mapping, archival storage, and retrieval of historical and digital Crown land data.
  • Conduct research and interpretation of current and historical records of Crown lands.
  • Certify various documents pursuant to various acts, including the Crown Lands Act, Evidence Act, and Wilderness Protection Act.
  • Oversee the effective management of all records and mapping pertaining to the extent of Crown lands.
  • Manage human resources and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements

A recognized post-secondary degree in Surveying or Geomatics and a minimum of five years experience in legal surveying, interpreting the extent of title, real property, or acceptable equivalent education and experience.
