Physician Assistant

Nova Scotia Health is currently seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Responsibilities- Obtain health history and conduct comprehensive physical assessments to formulate a differential diagnosis and determine further clinical investigation requirements
- Order diagnostic testing and interpret results, formulating a treatment and management plan based on assessment and investigation findings
- Implement effective treatment plans, demonstrating appropriate procedural skills and collaborating with the supervising physician and other healthcare professionals
- Provide patient education and support, promoting health and wellness in the emergency department

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant with recent emergency medicine experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Certification through the Physician Assistant's Certification Council or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is required, as well as eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
