Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to join our team at Canada Life. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our branch, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing guidance and support to our advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Manage Branch Operations: Oversee the daily activities of our branch, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all branch activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies, and identify and mitigate any potential risks.
  • Advisor Support and Development: Provide guidance and support to our advisors, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge and achieve their goals.
  • Branch Performance and Growth: Work with our advisors to identify opportunities for growth and development, and implement strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with our advisors, other branch managers, and senior leadership, and collaborate with other teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Degree: A post-secondary degree in business, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a registered role with an investment or mutual fund dealer is required.
  • Industry Certifications: Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Investment Dealers Supervisors Course is required.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills are required, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of advisors.
