Job Title: Copy Supervisor
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Copy Supervisor to join our team. As a Copy Supervisor, you will be responsible for generating innovative ideas, creating compelling copy, and developing marketing strategies that drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with client goals and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging and effective marketing campaigns
- Write and edit copy for various marketing channels, including social media, email, and print
- Manage and mentor junior team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our marketing efforts are always cutting-edge
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing or advertising
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt to different tone and style
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage and mentor junior team members

Position Details
Title: Copy Supervisor
Reports to: Associate Creative Director or VP, Creative Director
Role Description and Expectations
The Copy Supervisor is responsible for generating ideas, creating concepts for advertising and promotional copy, developing texts from draft stage through finished product with their art partner; working closely with Creative and Client Service teams to ensure adherence to client's marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines.
Key Accountabilities:
- Solid understanding of client's marketplace and can evaluate work in light of current marketing environment commercial awareness
- Ensures the best visualization of the product while staying within budget limits and understands the various production processes
- Contributes innovative ideas appropriate to the client's marketing strategy that challenge the status quo
- Able to defend strengths of existing concepts while remaining open to input and further explorations
- Participates and contributes in brainstorming sessions with stakeholders across meetings
- Review all materials for consistency in copy guidelines and all branding elements
- Works with art partner to skillfully produce work across all channels that communicate the client's message about the product for both the overall campaign
- Supports layouts with attention-getting techniques and compelling storytelling to support strategy
- Follows-through and communicates with Creative Shared Services to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlines
- Manages and mentors direct reports; coaches, challenges, and provides opportunities for growth
- Follows up on set expectations, and provides coaching and guidance when standards are not being met
- Develops goals with each direct report and conducts performance reviews and regular 1:1s to provide coaching, support career plans, and provide learning opportunities
- Maintains current knowledge of the internal creative team's capabilities & freelance talent; recommends those that are best suited to achieving the desired results
- Fosters an environment of diversity and inclusion on the team
- Maintains awareness of budget requirements and limits and alerts Client Service in advance when work exceeds budget and obtain appropriate approvals to follow through
- Develops strong relationships with all cross discipline internal teams
- Attends client creative presentations as circumstances allow
- Has a solid client relationship; actively leads interactions with clients and forges bonds with stakeholders
- Keeps up to date on industry trends and shares knowledge with internal teams
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of product challenges in relation to overall market
- Complete understanding of market trends and marketing briefs
