Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Board of Governors at North Island College. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the effective governance of the College.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the activities of the Board, including planning and organizing meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. They will also provide administrative support to the Leadership Team and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the Board Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the activities of the Board of Governors, including planning and organizing meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Leadership Team, including scheduling appointments, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including Board members, senior leaders, and external agencies, to ensure the smooth operation of the Board Office.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the Board Office.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
