Job Title: Livestock Farmhand

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Livestock Farmhand to join our team at Bruce Farrer Farm. As a key member of our farm team, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our beef cattle ranching and farming operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear fields of wood and stones
  • Handling animals
  • Monitor the calving process
  • Monitoring animal health
  • Perform livestock feeding
  • Treat livestock health issues
  • Feed and tend animals
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Maintain livestock performance records
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
  • Perform general farm duties

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train or equivalent experience

Work Environment: Our farm is located in a rural area and offers staff accommodation. You will be working outdoors in all weather conditions.
