Job Title: Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at North Centennial Manor. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to our clients, helping them to navigate life's challenges and achieve their goals.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments, evaluating the effectiveness of social programs, and providing individual, family, and group counseling. You will also serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop effective intervention plans
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of social programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling to clients, addressing a range of issues including mental health, relationships, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to intervention plans as needed
Requirements:
  • Provincial certificate of registration as a Social Worker
  • Membership in a provincial association of Social Workers
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
Working Conditions:

This is a temporary, full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be required to work in a community service organization or health care institution, facility, or clinic.
