Job Summary and Requirements
The Government of Yukon is a dynamic organization comprised of fourteen departments and six corporations, each delivering programs and services to Yukoners. We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Consultant II to join our team at the Department of Health and Social Services.
The Opportunity
As an HR Consultant II, you will collaborate with clients and provide a high standard of HR services and resolution-focused advice, particularly in the areas of recruitment, labour relations, and accommodation. You will prioritize HR-related requests and issues for your client group and chair staffing activities. We are a very busy branch with a lot going on, and you will have the opportunity to deploy a full range of human resource management knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees in all areas of HR management
- Experience problem solving difficult issues, and providing advice and options to clients
- Recent experience working in an organization with standardized processes, including activities in recruitment & staffing, performance management, organizational development, and creating job descriptions, and employee wellness and accommodation
- Post-secondary education in business administration, organizational development, human resources, leadership and employee management, communications/marketing, or other related fields
