The Government of Yukon is a dynamic organization that delivers programs and services to Yukoners. We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Consultant to join our team.
The Opportunity
The Human Resources branch at Health and Social Services is responsible for providing HR services to a large and diverse department. As an HR Consultant, you will work in partnership with department managers and employees to achieve high employee engagement, positive employee/management relations, strategic recruitment, and high retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees in all areas of HR management
- Experience problem solving difficult issues, and providing advice and options to clients
- Work in an organization with standardized processes, including activities in recruitment & staffing, performance management, organizational development and creating job descriptions, and employee wellness and accommodation
- Post secondary education in business administration, organizational development, human resources, leadership and employee management, communications/marketing, or other related fields
