Pembina Hills School Division is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with local Indigenous communities to promote cultural understanding and awareness.
- Provide support and guidance to students, staff, and parents on Indigenous cultural practices and traditions.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate Indigenous perspectives and content into the curriculum.
- Organize and participate in cultural events and activities to promote Indigenous culture and awareness.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve Indigenous student outcomes and achievement.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, parents, and community members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
