About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Engineering Specialist to lead engineering projects during the bid stage in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will involve reviewing and providing support to the projects team as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Mechanical Engineering team to complete equipment designs
  • Request quotations from sub-suppliers for equipment required as part of natural gas processing packages and review incoming proposals on a technical and commercial basis
  • Provide technical support to other functional groups including project management, drafting, and production
  • Review preliminary general arrangements and/or 3D models
  • Implement project specifications
  • Size PSV's and control valves based on process information

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience with an engineering degree or technical diploma
  • Experience in plant layout and how it relates to equipment design
  • Experience sizing pressure relief valves, control valves, and piping is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS is considered an asset

What We Offer

This is an on-site role in the Edmonton area, offering a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
