Social Worker I MSW In-Patient Psychiatry Mental Health Specialist

Fraser Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker I MSW to join our dedicated team in In-Patient Psychiatry. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments, education, and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive social work and psycho-social assessments of patients suffering acute episodes of mental illness and substance misuse/dependence.
- Develop and coordinate care plans and community services for patients requiring facility placement and/or community support.
- Communicate and collaborate with mental health and related community service agencies and family physicians.
- Act as a resource to patients and their families by providing information and referrals to community resources.
- Educate and provide consultation and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on issues related to mental health and addictions.
- Master's Degree of Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work.
- One year's recent, related experience in a mental health treatment setting.
- Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
