About the Job

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounting and Payroll Technician to join our client's team in the manufacturing sector. This is a contract position with a possibility of permanence after a few months. The successful candidate will work in Granby, with 2 days of telework per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and assemble invoices received from suppliers, ensuring they match purchase orders and following up with site managers or suppliers as needed;
  • Record transactions in the correct project and compile them for greenhouse gas reporting;
  • Monitor account statements and follow up with suppliers for timely payments;
  • Complete remittance forms for EPSCA projects and provide information to accounting for cheque issuance;
  • Count hours for accounts receivable and supplier invoices on a weekly basis, allowing for monthly billing;
  • Invoice customers through Advantage or other accounting software, maintaining accurate records and tracking deductions;
  • Perform administrative tasks related to construction worker hiring, including Nethris and pension benefits administration;
  • Compile working hours, statutory holidays, sick leave, and vacation time for construction workers;
  • Manage expense accounts, collecting and verifying supporting documents;
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Office Automation, or equivalent;
  • Experience with construction payroll in Quebec, Ontario, and other provinces, as well as the USA;
  • Familiarity with basic accounting operations, including payables and receivables;
  • Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems, an asset;
  • Bilingual English and French proficiency;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Organizational skills and adaptability;
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is between $45,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
