You will play a crucial role in inspecting raw, semi-finished and finished materials, as well as complete parts and products, to ensure their compliance with the organization’s specifications.

Our client offers you:

Hourly rate: $33.50/hour starting and $34.92/hour after the probationary period (720 hours);

Evening premium $1.00/hour (when on this shift);

Competitive employment conditions, governed by the collective agreement in place;

If the following describes you:

College diploma (DEC) in metallurgical engineering technology or vocational diploma (DEP) in a technical discipline in metallurgical manufacturing, mechanics or any other appropriate field;

Five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar position;

Good knowledge and skill in using measuring equipment;

Writing skills to produce quality inspection reports;

Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, instructions, specifications and quality assurance (QA) procedures in French and English.

Candidates will be required to meet the requirements of an annual eye exam.

Your role:

Inspect and verify the compliance of materials with drawings, workshop orders and company specifications;

Report defects and deviations to the supervisor for a decision to recover or reject;

Document the compliance of the material;

Maintain inspection equipment, instruments and templates in good condition;

Act as an ambassador for workplace safety by respecting the measures in force in the factories;

During the training period (approximately 12 months), you will work on the day shift.
