Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Roots Avalon Mall. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Customer Service Leadership: Provide sales and customer service leadership to employees, ensuring a positive customer experience and driving sales growth.
- Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Team Development: Support the development of sales and customer service skills among team members, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist the Store Manager in recruiting and onboarding new team members, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, using feedback to modify and develop alternative solutions.
- Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation: Ensure that the store and team members are presented to the highest possible standards, in line with brand expectations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Store Manager and other team members to achieve operational and sales goals, ensuring effective communication and a positive team environment.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a retail apparel environment, with a focus on sales and customer service leadership.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to drive results, develop talent, and focus on the customer.
- Sales Achievements: Demonstrated sales achievements in a retail store environment.
- Organization and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service Focus: Passion for upholding an exceptional customer experience, with a focus on delivering outstanding service.
- Visual Planning and Merchandising: Experience with visual planning and merchandising, with the ability to create an engaging and effective store presentation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to collaborate with others, while being self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Written, Verbal, and Presentation Skills: Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Availability: Availability to work varied weekly shifts, including weekends, closing, and holidays.
