Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide professional registered nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  2. Assume a leadership role within the healthcare team and facilitate the coordination of patient care and discharge.
  3. Maintain current knowledge of nursing care knowledge related to the clinical area and regional/facility/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and guidelines that support high-quality patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A graduate degree in nursing from an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Current ICU experience, with a preference for recent related experience.
  • Satisfactory employment record.
  • Basic Life Support training at the Health care provider level.
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba.
