Job Description

As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist with WSP, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our projects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), conduct field inspections and surveillance, and perform internal and external audits. You will also support the development of quality management system (QMS) processes and provide inputs to the Quality Manager in overseeing the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop ITPs and conduct field inspections and surveillance as per the plans.
  • Perform internal and external audits and surveillance activities.
  • Support the development of QMS processes and plans.
  • Provide inputs to the Quality Manager in overseeing the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality program.
  • Review quality documentation for conformance and ensure all quality documentation is compiled, approved for use, and completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience in quality, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Experience working on large civil earthworks projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge of nuclear regulations and safety standards considered an asset (N299, ISO 9001, CSA 51).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong Microsoft Applications experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
