CASA Mental Health is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team in shaping a brighter future for children, youth and families. The successful candidate will be part of our interdisciplinary team, providing timely mental health care and empowering individuals to thrive.

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with our team to provide nursing assessments, plans of care, medication administration, teaching, telephone follow-up and health promotion services.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments to identify mental health concerns and current risks.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote, maintain and restore health, in collaboration with patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nursing, minimum 3-5 years of recent pediatric experience in ambulatory care settings, including care and management of children with mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide information and instructions to assist others in understanding clinical conditions, ongoing care and management.
  • Liaise with other professionals to promote continuity of care and connect families with primary care physicians.
  • Act as a resource by providing training to team members and participating in the development of children's mental health teaching and resource materials.

Please note that a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification are required for this position.
