Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Staff Management: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Prepare and submit reports, and prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the culinary team to achieve common goals, and provide input on menu planning and food preparation.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
