About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our community-based health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patients' needs.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide friendly, positive, and proactive interaction with patients, counseling them on new and additional medications, and educating them on proper use and potential side effects.
  • Community Outreach: Create awareness and educate customers through public relations, public health days, clinics, and other community-based initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacy colleagues, technicians, interns, students, and IPGs to provide seamless patient care and support.
  • Cost Control: Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and performance management skills, with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze problems, formulate solutions, and execute action plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Technical Skills: Strong personal computing skills, with knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy Computer system an asset.
