About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at DESI BAR LTD. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and ensure all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning the counter area.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist Customers with Self-Checkout: Provide assistance to customers using the self-checkout system, and ensure they have a smooth and efficient shopping experience.
  • Participate in Promotional Activities: Participate in promotional activities, such as sales events and product demonstrations, to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Verify Customer Age: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products, and ensure all sales are made in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Work Environment

As a Retail Sales Associate at DESI BAR LTD, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
