Executive Director The National Ballet of Canada

This is an opportunity to partner with Artistic Director Hope Muir to advance and realize the NBOC's vision and future plans as its next Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Company's sound financial position and executive leadership of marketing, audience engagement, donor stewardship, EDI initiatives, education and community outreach programs, fiscal management, contract union negotiations, organizational culture and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Artistic Director to advance the Company's vision and future plans.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Company's senior management team.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive growth, innovation, and excellence in the performing arts.

Requirements:

  • Relevant executive leadership experience, ideally in a co-leadership model, in the performing arts, or a combination of private sector executive leadership experience and extensive contributions to the performing arts as a volunteer.
  • Proven track record of success in ensuring the financial stability and growth of a performing arts organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including artists, staff, board members, and donors.
