Job Summary

Dual Fabrication & Welding Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supporting our welders in the fabrication and assembly of metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles to facilitate the transportation of materials and products.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish to meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders to understand production requirements and priorities.
Requirements
  • Experience in metal fabrication is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quality.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with the production team.
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week in a production environment.
  • English language as the primary language of communication.
