Humber River Health is a leading healthcare provider in North West Toronto, serving a community of 850,000 residents. As a Clinical Research Study Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the research team at our hospital.

Job Summary

This temporary full-time position (approximately 12 months) involves assisting with interactions with study participants, preparing and processing clinical research samples, and performing limited testing within the scope of your qualifications. You will also provide administrative support to the research team, including preparing documents, equipment, and supplies.

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a health or science-related discipline and recent experience in research. Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of research principles and practice are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with interactions with study participants, including scheduling appointments and administering telephone interviews
  • Prepare, receive, sort, and process clinical research samples/specimens following established procedures and guidelines
  • Perform limited testing within the scope of your qualifications and training (e.g., medication history)
  • Provide administrative support to the research team, including preparing documents, equipment, and supplies
  • Participate in study team meetings and assist with simple literature searches under close supervision
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a health or science-related discipline required
  • Recent experience in research, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Fundamental knowledge of research principles and practice, including regulations and guidelines
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
