About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Partnerships Coordinator to join our team at the First Nations Health Authority. As a key member of our regional engagement team, you will play a critical role in providing leadership to partnership work with Vancouver Island First Nations, Island Health, and other Health System Partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination support to First Nations communities, working closely with community leaders and health system partners to identify and address emerging needs and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including First Nations leaders, Island Health representatives, and other health system partners.
  • Support the development and implementation of partnership strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with community-identified priorities and emerging needs.
  • Track and report on key activities and initiatives, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

  • A post-secondary degree in Health Sciences, Education, or Social Services, or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and professional experience.
  • Relevant, recent, and significant experience in the provision of coordination support to First Nations communities, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of stakeholder engagement, partnership development, provincial and federal health systems, and First Nations health system needs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the goals and perspectives of BC First Nations and knowledge of First Nations issues as they relate to regional partnerships.
