Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and HRIS Representative to join our team at Katz Group Canada. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data, payroll processing, and compliance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll policies and procedures, taxation issues, and collective agreements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of payroll data, including new hires, status changes, and terminations.
  • Process full-cycle payroll for designated groups, from new entry to processing to final audit.
  • Maintain the integrity of ADP and KRONOS systems, performing modifications as required.
  • Process miscellaneous payments, including stipends, vacation dollars, and premium pay.
  • Remit deductions and premiums to outside agencies, including garnishments and union dues.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to internal payroll processes.
  • Communicate with relevant sources, including third-party agencies and service providers.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years College Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Canadian Payroll Association Certification (PA/PCP Designation).
  • Minimum 5 years experience administering payroll in a large-scale organization, with retail industry experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation, concepts, collective agreements, and company policies.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with strong Excel skills.
