About the Role

Aversan Inc. is a reputable engineering company that provides engineering expertise in the aerospace and defense industries. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Administrative Support: Provide scheduling, administrative, and technical support to the project team(s) to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Technical Support: Recognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving, and evaluate results on major issues prior to releasing drawings to the field.
  • Project Execution: Work alongside Project Managers as technical support for their assigned series, providing support in customer communications and needs.
  • Risk Assessment and Quality Control: Perform risk assessments, support the job hazard analysis process, and actively participate in and support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs and initiatives.
  • Design Deliverables and Quality Reviews: Coordinate multi-disciplinary project design deliverables and participate in quality reviews.
  • Resource Scheduling: Schedule resources for their portion of a project under the guidance of a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Work Quality and Safety: Ensure work quality, safety, and reliability standards are met and maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Has successfully completed a University Degree or College Diploma Education in Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS office-based software. Primavera scheduling experience is considered an asset.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD required.
  • Experience: Experience working on-site at a Nuclear facility, ideally within MCR.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of ECC process an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Technical Environment: Experience in a technical environment on large-scale engineering and construction projects, nuclear required.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Engineering Principles: Firm understanding of core engineering principles, documentation, and processes.
  • Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client Interaction: Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external clients.
  • Scheduling Knowledge: Scheduling knowledge an asset.
