Aversan Inc. is a reputable engineering company that provides expertise in the aerospace and defense industries. We are seeking a Project Engineer for our client located in Port Elgin, ON.
Key Responsibilities:The Project Engineer will provide scheduling, administrative, and technical support to the project team(s) to ensure project deliverables are met. Key responsibilities include:
Technical Expertise:- Identify and address technical issues, collaborate with project managers, and evaluate results to ensure quality deliverables.
- Support project managers in customer communications and needs, providing technical expertise as required.
- Conduct risk assessments, participate in job hazard analysis, and support health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Coordinate project design deliverables, participate in quality reviews, and ensure work quality, safety, and reliability standards are met.
- Schedule resources for project tasks under the guidance of a supervisor or manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for professional interactions with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a team environment, participate in group meetings, and contribute to project success.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- Occasional shift work, overtime hours, including weekend and backshift coverage may be required.
- Ensure project milestones are met, notify relevant contacts if milestones are not met, and adhere to program policies.
- Ensure business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with company policies.
- Foster a culture that reflects the company's core values.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Education:- A university degree or college diploma in engineering is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, MS office-based software, and Primavera scheduling experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is required.
- Experience working on-site at a nuclear facility, ideally within MCR, is an asset.
- Knowledge of ECC process is an asset.
- Experience in a technical environment on large-scale engineering and construction projects, nuclear required.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and firm understanding of core engineering principles, documentation, and processes.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal professionally with internal and external clients.
- Scheduling knowledge is an asset.
