Project Engineer Job Description

Aversan Inc. is a reputable engineering company that provides engineering expertise in the aerospace and defense industries. We are currently seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide scheduling, administrative, and technical support to project teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Work alongside Project Managers as technical support for assigned projects, providing support in customer communications and needs.
  • Perform risk assessments and support the job hazard analysis process, actively participating in and supporting HSE programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary project design deliverables and participate in quality reviews.
  • Schedule resources for project portions under the guidance of a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Ensure work quality, safety, and reliability standards are met and maintained.
Project Execution:
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Occasional shift work and overtime hours, including weekend and backshift coverage may be required.
  • Ensure scheduled milestones are met.
  • Notify the appropriate contacts if milestones are not met.
Qualifications:
  • Education: University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS office-based software. Primavera scheduling experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD required.
  • Experience working on-site at a Nuclear facility, ideally within MCR.
  • Knowledge of ECC process an asset.
Experience:
  • Experience in a technical environment on large-scale engineering and construction projects, nuclear required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Firm understanding of core engineering principles, documentation, and processes.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external clients.
