Job Title: Senior Network and Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Security Analyst to join our team at Great Gulf Group of Companies. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, improving, and resolving system and security issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks
  • Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and problem-solve network and server systems
  • Deploy and maintain security best practices across the Infrastructure and Applications
  • Ensure regular security patching of systems
  • Deploy, install, and support IT equipment
  • Participate in architectural and configuration discussions
  • Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity
  • Diagnose and provide solutions to recurring issues
  • Implement changes that will optimize existing hardware and network resources
  • Co-ordinate with equipment and software vendors
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Train support staff on new technologies
  • Take part in on-call support rotation
  • Other related tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Degree in a related discipline would be an asset (e.g., B.Eng. B.Sc., etc.)
  • 8+ years' experience in network infrastructure and information security
  • Deep understanding of security best practices
  • Strong technical knowledge of Networking principles
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking in cloud services platforms (Azure)
  • Strong working knowledge of Bash or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience in Windows/Linux servers on-prem, and in the cloud
  • Experience in system inventory, monitoring, and patching
  • Experience with a helpdesk support tool
  • Technical knowledge of HP servers, SAN's would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Platforms and Technologies including Window Server, Hyper-V, and Databases would be an asset
  • Experience with Active directory administration on-prem and in the cloud (Azure)
  • Experience with Office 365 tenant administration
  • Experience in delivering IT Development projects, system implementation, and business support
  • Experience in multiple implementation phases; system selection, design, development, testing, and support
  • Strong creative thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
