Network and Security Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Analyst to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, improving, and resolving system and security issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Network Administration: Deploy, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks.
  2. System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and problem-solve network and server systems.
  3. Security Best Practices: Deploy and maintain security best practices across the Infrastructure and Applications.
  4. Security Patching: Ensure regular security patching of systems.
  5. IT Equipment Support: Deploy, install, and support IT equipment.
  6. Architectural Discussions: Participate in architectural and configuration discussions.
  7. System Utilization and Capacity: Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity.
  8. Issue Resolution: Diagnose and provide solutions to recurring issues.
  9. Hardware and Network Optimization: Implement changes that will optimize existing hardware and network resources.
  10. Vendor Coordination: Co-ordinate with equipment and software vendors.
  11. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation, and train support staff on new technologies.
  12. On-Call Support: Take part in on-call support rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
  • At least 8 years of experience in network infrastructure and information security.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Networking principles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking in cloud services platforms (Azure).
  • Strong working knowledge of Bash or PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience in Windows/Linux servers on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Experience in system inventory, monitoring, and patching.
  • Experience with a helpdesk support tool.
  • Technical knowledge of HP servers, SANs would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Platforms and Technologies including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Databases would be an asset.
  • Experience with Active Directory administration on-prem and in the cloud (Azure).
  • Experience with Office 365 tenant administration.
  • Experience in delivering IT Development projects, system implementation, and business support.
  • Experience in multiple implementation phases; system selection, design, development, testing, and support.
  • Strong creative thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
