About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network and Security Analyst to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, improving, and resolving system and security issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network Administration: Deploy, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
  2. System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and problem-solve network and server systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  3. Security Best Practices: Deploy and maintain security best practices across the infrastructure and applications to protect against cyber threats.
  4. Security Patching: Ensure regular security patching of systems to prevent vulnerabilities and maintain a secure environment.
  5. IT Equipment Support: Deploy, install, and support IT equipment to ensure seamless operation and minimize downtime.
  6. Architectural Discussions: Participate in architectural and configuration discussions to ensure alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  7. System Utilization and Capacity: Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity to inform infrastructure planning and optimization.
  8. Issue Resolution: Diagnose and provide solutions to recurring issues to improve system reliability and performance.
  9. Infrastructure Optimization: Implement changes to optimize existing hardware and network resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  10. Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with equipment and software vendors to ensure timely delivery and support of IT solutions.
  11. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation and train support staff on new technologies to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer.
  12. On-Call Support: Participate in on-call support rotation to provide 24/7 support and ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in a related discipline (e.g., B.Eng., B.Sc.) would be an asset.
  • Experience: 8+ years' experience in network infrastructure and information security.
  • Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of security best practices and strong technical knowledge of networking principles.
  • Cloud Services: Strong technical knowledge of networking in cloud services platforms (Azure).
  • Scripting: Strong working knowledge of Bash or PowerShell scripting.
  • Server Experience: Experience in Windows/Linux servers on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Inventory, Monitoring, and Patching: Experience in system inventory, monitoring, and patching.
  • Helpdesk Support: Experience with a helpdesk support tool.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge of HP servers, SANs would be an asset.
  • Microsoft Platforms: Knowledge of Microsoft Platforms and Technologies including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Databases would be an asset.
  • Active Directory: Experience with Active Directory administration on-prem and in the cloud (Azure).
  • Office 365: Experience with Office 365 tenant administration.
  • IT Development: Experience in delivering IT development projects, system implementation, and business support.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong creative thinking abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
